Cube Lamp

Brief:

Design a floor or table lamp that captures the attention of the space. The product should be freely accessible to people to create and assemble their lamp at home with easily available parts. It must be considered a product of desire for the market. The lamp must have some innovative element (lighting, way of emitting light, combination of products, etc).

About The Project

The intention of the cube lamp is to set the atmosphere in which it is found with a blue light that can be called a cold light but that at the same time, due to its color, provides a feeling of tranquility when it is turned on.

The challenge of this product is the use of concrete, which is a material that normally does not go in a space such as a desk. The intention is to use a material that is rustic and imperfect but that, when placed in certain space creates contrasts and complements its surrounding.

As for the shape of the lamp, the use of simple geometric shapes were pursued with an unusual arrangement to make the design of the product more interesting.

The solution of this idea came from using 3D printing, wood and concrete.The objective of the cube lamp is that anyone can recreate it and this is accomplished by using simple materials and a 3D printing piece. Color blue was selected to be an ambiance light that whispers calm.This product was created in digital and as a physical lamp.
